Macaspac is still undefeated after five rounds. Pitts and Baniel are tied in second place just a point behind Macaspac. However, Baniel is playing Macaspcac in round six. If Baniel is victorious, he will share the lead going into the second half of the tournament. Pitts, on the other hand, is facing Drake who is currently in third place. Both of these games this afternoon are the games to watch.
GM Polgar has kindly posted an entry on her popular blog about the ongoing All-Army Chess Championship. She is also generously donating three autographed books and three instructional DVDs as prizes to be given out this Friday. The players have received the news and were thrilled about it. GM Polgar is widely adored within the military chess community.
There is talk to invite her in the future for a simultaneous exhibition against the All-Army Chess Team. She has already expressed her commitment to even donate more prizes next year.
